My "Natural Beauty" exhibition at the Mango Tango Art Gallery on St Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands will be on display until the last week of February 2023. The show includes 22 paintings of landscapes and carnival dancers. I have been exhibiting at the Gallery since 2010. Hanging alongside my show is William B. Thompson's "Sign of the Times" exhibition. Both of us love color and our artwork celebrates Island Life in our ow unique styles.
My obsession with the colors and bright light of the islands is expressed through my vibrant acrylic paintings. After 9 years of living in the Virgin Islands, I reluctantly left St Thomas in 2017 after hurricane Irma, but I still feel the pull of the Islands and return at least once per year. I miss hiking and snorkeling and dancing in the carnival parade with the Gypsy troupe. Each visit refills my creative well. I believe my love of the Virgin Islands is still obvious in my paintings.
