The Rappahannock Art League held their 56th Annual Labor Day show in their beautiful, newly renovated RAL Art Center Gallery space on Main Street in Kilmarnock, VA. This year I had two entries and my larger piece, Queen Anne's View won the Jane Stouffer Memorial Award. I am very honored because Jane was a wonderful artist and former President of the RAL League. You can read more about her life here. This year the show was judged by Mary Montague Sikes. This was the comment she wrote about my award,
"The artist's bright and cheerful use of color creates a masterful image. I believe Jane would approve of this choice."
