Linescape - Sapphire Beach View

I recently completely and delivered this new piece from my Linescape series. It was a commission and they were willing to let me explore a diptych format to combine the "linescape" with a more tradional acrylic painting. The lines I glued down to create the panel on the left were all found washed up on the beaches around St Thomas. None of them have been dyed or altered. The wide range of colors were caused by their exposure to salt water and sunlight. I love to create art from found material. The process I use is ridiculously time consuming, but I am pleased with the result, and so are my clients.
