Artist's Statement:
The act of painting outside and experiencing nature firsthand is an integral part of my work. I am energized by the dynamic beauty of nature. I want to capture my excitement on canvas. While painting on location, I strengthen my connection to a specific site. Because the locations where I paint are important to me, I strive to create a sense of place in my art. Through my paintings, I share with others my emotional response to a particular place.
