This sculpture was designed and built as a burnable piece of art for the Playa del Fuego regional Burning Man Festival which is held twice a year in Delaware. The eight ravens in the tree were made of chicken wire and stuffed with canvas soaked in chemicals which caused them to burn in four different colors. Except for the birds, the eitire piece "grew" throughout the weekend as Brenda built it from the ground up using branches, rope, strips of canvas, and wire. On the night of the burn, each bird was lit simultaneously by an important woman from Brenda's circle of friends.
